About a week and a half ago, I challenged myself to revisit the last seven (now eight) weeks of the infamous job search of the recent college grad. As mentioned, I not only did it for readers but I wanted to hopefully prove to myself that my efforts have been true. That way, if there are loopholes where I feel I should be trying harder, I have each week documented in print.

Weeks 3-4 are two of those weeks where I could have stepped it up a bit. Here’s a list to lay out  why I didn’t.

Monday, May 24th began with a trip to my internship for the last and final day of work.

Tuesday, May 25th was my final day of babysitting

Wednesday, May 26th I began to organize and pack up my apartment

Thursday, May 27 – Sunday May 30 it was time to celebrate the graduation so a group of my friends and I took a trip to Vegas (what an excuse!)

Monday, May 31 was spent packing up the rest of my apartment and packing my Toyota Corolla from floor to ceiling

Tuesday, June 1 woke up at 3:30 a.m. to hit the open road by 4 a.m. Drove a total of 16 hours that day and made it from Colorado to Indiana.

Tuesday June 2 REPEAT but replace the beginning destination with Indiana and the final destination in Boston. That was another 17 hour day.

Wednesday, June 3 – Sunday, June 6 was spent unpacking, celebrating birthdays, saying hi to family and friends, random errands, and before you know it four days has passed.

So there it is. Two whole weeks and no real job searching to show for it. I guess it goes to show how easy it is to take some time off. Am I ashamed you ask? To be honest, not really. I certainly had random bits of time to push forward in the job search here but I think I have some pretty good excuses here. Can’t a girl have a little fun?

I’ll start work on Monday (June 7th).
